Cassie Shanks

Hello and a big welcome. My name is Cassie and I am the proud owner of Little Movers Consett and Stanley.

I am mum to two beautiful girls, Alexa and Ruby, who lots of you will get to know in class. I became a mum for the second time during the pandemic and started to quickly realise how much our children were missing out on. In April 2021 I took the leap and decided to start my Little Movers journey. It gave me the opportunity to be a mum, work my own hours and made a massive difference to lots of families throughout the Consett and Stanley area.

Before Little Movers I spent 12 years working in school with hundreds of children from nursery to year 6. Working with children has always been my passion, learning through play and imagination. I love to see children develop, build confidence and learn new skills, no matter of their ability. Every child matters and here at Little Movers we provide an inclusive class where every child is given the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.
